Dear Friends,
Congratulations to the Lakeland Faculty Association as you celebrate your 50th anniversary at Lakeland Community College. In the midst of negotiations to reach a new contract agreement, it’s especially important to recognize your work to inspire the next generation of young people.
We know the significant role faculty plays in providing high-quality education to students and ensuring their success throughout their college career and beyond. Despite the difficulties that today’s educator’s face, including low pay, unpredictable schedules and long hours, you continue to persevere.
As you celebrate 50 years of helping students learn, think, and grow, I join the Northeast Ohio community in gratitude for your service to your community. The dedication you exhibit and the ideals you embrace have served to strengthen and enrich not only your individual students, but the well-being of Ohio as a whole.
Please accept my congratulations on your 50th anniversary. You have my best wishes in your current negotiations and for the years ahead.
